Apr 13, 2023

Application principle and precautions of argon arc welding tungsten electrode:

Argon arc welding (ARGon-arc welding) is a kind of welding process in which a high temperature arc is generated through a tungsten electrode to melt a metal joint and an inert gas is used to protect the weld. The principle of argon arc welding tungsten electrode is that the tungsten electrode will melt the metal material through the high-temperature action of the arc, and then protect the weld with inert gas to prevent the occurrence of oxidation, pollution and other phenomena.

Notes for argon arc welding tungsten electrode include the following:

1. Select a suitable tungsten electrode. The tungsten electrode should be selected according to the type and thickness of the metal to be welded, and adjusted according to the different welding materials.

2. Ensure the quality of the tungsten electrode. The quality of tungsten electrode directly affects the welding quality, so reliable tungsten electrode should be selected and inspected.

3. Keep the tungsten electrode dry. The tungsten electrode should be protected from water vapor contamination and should be dried if necessary.

4. Master welding skills. Argon arc welding tungsten electrode needs to master relatively fine welding skills, should be operated after professional training.

5. Stay safe. The intense light generated by the argon arc welding tungsten electrode during operation is harmful to the eyes. Therefore, appropriate protective equipment should be worn and attention should be paid to electrical safety and other issues.
